Give your child a holiday full of discovery.
Imagine your child greeting you in a new language, sharing a story with confidence or speaking Gĩkũyũ more comfortably with grandparents. At Teslak, children aged 4–17 learn through conversation, creativity and activities suited to their age. Choose German, French, Spanish or Gĩkũyũ (Kikuyu) and turn part of the long holiday into an opportunity to learn, make friends and build confidence.
Programme dates and daily times
The programme runs from Monday, 2 November to Friday, 18 December 2026. An additional joining date is Monday, 9 November. Weekly bookings and later entry depend on suitable group availability. Children sitting school examinations should join after completing them.

Total fees per child
Book the weeks that fit your family’s holiday plans and pay weekly before each week begins. Each week introduces new learning and activities. Fees cover one selected language. The full programme spans seven weeks. Groups are subject to teacher availability and sufficient enrolment.

A welcoming group for every learner
Children are grouped by age and previous language knowledge. Six-year-olds join Little Explorers or the 6–9 group according to readiness. Tell us your child’s age and whether they have studied or spoken the language before.
- Little Explorers: a dedicated younger group with short, varied activities, movement and snack breaks.
- Ages 6–9: songs, pictures, stories, games and short speaking activities.
- Ages 10–12: everyday conversation, role-play, simple reading and writing, and group projects.
- Ages 13–17: practical conversation, presentations, cultural discussion and projects.
Stay involved in your child’s progress
- Language lessons in one selected language: German, French, Spanish or Gĩkũyũ (Kikuyu).
- Basic learning materials, weekly parent progress updates and a final report.
- Language & Creative Activities includes supervised storytelling, games, art, music, drama and cultural projects, with basic activity materials.
- An end-of-programme showcase may be arranged where appropriate.
Day programme: parent arrangements
Parents provide a packed snack and drinking water and arrange daily drop-off and collection. Teslak does not provide accommodation or transport for this holiday programme.
Visiting Nyeri during the holiday?
Children visiting Nyeri or the Mt. Kenya region can build confidence communicating with relatives and connecting with language and heritage. This option also serves Kenyan families whose children live or study where Gĩkũyũ is not commonly spoken.
